Adding more planks

Continue
riveting the two planks together until you
reach the other end. At first the planks
will be very limber, but as you get toward
the other end the planks will start to
develop a concave curl, and the hull's
shape will begin to emerge. As you work
your way to the end, you may have to
start twisting the planks a little to line up
the rivet holes. You may also find it easier to skip around a little to keep the planks from flopping around too much; just make sure that all the rivets get installed.

When you've finished riveting these first two planks together, start riveting the #4 plank to them. Always alternate the scarfed ends so that the scarfs don't line up in adjacent planks.

Continue riveting on planks using the
same method until one half is completely assembled. You can now see how the
shape of the planks give the hull it's contours.
